After the end doors are removed and the equipment taken out, Leroy disinfects the inside of the tank, including the mat. (The practice might be likened to a vet washing her boots before entering a barn. ) |

The tank has been backed right up to the cow. With the wheels still engaged, the tank's tongue was lifted until the tank's back end hit the ground. The tank is secured by the front jack in this sloping position. The ramp was attached to provide a smooth slide onto the tank floor. The cable's grabhook latches onto the dragmat's chain. Now, as the helper holds the cow's head back to keep her still, Leroy starts winching her inside. |
